<p>As cited above, C.L. Boynton & Beadle (<em>in Small 1903, p. 1340</em>) clearly indicated "<em>#851a</em>" at the <strong>Biltmore Herbarium</strong> (later transferred to <strong>US</strong>) as the type material. However, the <strong>holotype</strong> at <strong>US</strong> was erroneously annotated as an "<em>isotype</em>" by Perdue. --<em>B.R. Keener</em></p>
