A taxon long included in Carex striatula but decidedly demonstrated to be distinct by Dorey in 2019. Specimens of C. striatula should be evaluated to determine if they are correctly labeled as C. striatula or should be annotated to C. ignota...the "Unknown Sedge"--B. Keener
