Coastal False Asphodel is a native herbaceous perennial in the False Asphodel family (Toefieldiaceae). The leaves are linear, 2 ranked, and equitant. Flowers are produced in a raceme. The stalk of the raceme is glandular pubescent. There may be 1-3 reduced leaves at the base of the flowering stalk. Flowers are in clusters of 2-7 along the raceme axis. The flowers have 6 white tepals and 6 stamens. The fruit is an ovoid capsule.--A. Diamond
