<p>When Gray transferred this taxon to <em><strong>Amianthium</strong></em>, in error he tweaked the original spelling of the epithet "<em><strong>muscitoxicum</strong></em>" to "<em><strong>muscaetoxicum</strong></em>". The incorrect spelling has been used in many botanical works since. According ot the code it is permissible to correct the epithet to the original spelling.-<em><strong>-B.R. Keener</strong></em></p>
