<p><strong>Copeland's Clubmoss</strong> is a natural F1 hybrid formed by the crossing of <em><strong>L. alopecuroides </strong></em>(L.) Cranfill & <em><strong>L. appressa </strong></em>(Chapman) Cranfill. The hybrid could potentially be found where both parental species co-occur. The epithet honors American Botanist <strong>Ewdin Bingham Copeland</strong> (1873-1964).</p>
