<p><strong>Copeland's Clubmoss</strong> is a natural F1 hybrid formed by the crossing of <em><strong>L. alopecuroides&nbsp;</strong></em>(L.) Cranfill &amp;&nbsp;<em><strong>L. appressa&nbsp;</strong></em>(Chapman) Cranfill. The hybrid could potentially be found where both parental species co-occur.&nbsp; The epithet honors American Botanist&nbsp;<strong>Ewdin Bingham Copeland</strong>&nbsp;(1873-1964).</p>
