Stems are 1-5 inches in height, branched or simple, and pubescent with sessile cruciform trichomes. Basal leaves are petiolate, oblanceolate in outline, entire, and pubescent with cruciform trichomes. Stem leaves are sessile, lanceolate to linear in outline, entire, and pubescent with cruciform trichomes. Flowers are produced in terminal racemes. Individual flowers are pedicilate and have 4 white petals. The fruit is a flattened, glabrous, elliptic silique. For many years this species was known as Draba brachycarpa, and may appear as such in many wildflower guides.—A. Diamond
